Deforestation

A bright afternoon, beautiful bushes and greenery.

Everyday, things are constantly changing around you and you wouldn't notice how fast it changes. By then you stop by and take a good look at your surroundings, its just too late.

I was on board on the bus to school and couldn't help but snap a few shots of this scenery right beside my window.

Like any other remaining forest that can be found in singapore ,this one stood for quite a long while. But it was until a few months ago, that i noticed trees are slowly being cut down.                                                                                     As it was located near my house and just opposite the bus stop where i always took the bus,i feel like its been there with me and its like a must-see scenery for me to view everyday i go out. From a higher area( viewing from the top floor of a flat), you can actually see that the spread of the forest is quite big. A large variety of flowers and trees can be found inside the forest. To me,its a really relaxing sight having to be able to see it everyday. whilst during a hot weather, its existence seems to be able to calm any hot-headed person.

Half  the forest is disappearing, more to go:(

As i remember back in school, they use to teach us about conserving the environment ,save the earth ,the 3Rs ,etc. But now, what have they done? They wanted more land to build roads ,houses , buildings or schools , that i can understand .But! That doesn't that they tear down the entire forest! Its a rather frustrating and upsetting sight to see.

An astonishing scenery bestowed upon us by nature,a sight that had filled and calmed those hearts that have seen it.Those yellowish-red flowers that used to be found sitting in some trees.Broad wide leaves, thin branches or branches spreading like a big umbrella, shielding anyone beneath it from the scotching sun in the afternoon. A variety of species of birds can be found nesting in their homes inside the forest.Sometimes they can be seen flying around my neighborhood. There's long thin grasses covering the slopes making it hard to enter the forest.During the night, the shadows of the large trees gathers and i used to think that its a big mountain rather than a forest.
however, its all gone. Everything.

Its all gone! what's left of it is just filthy mud water and uneven landscape

As the picture shows, not a single tree is left of the forest(except the one at the road sides). No signs of natural life can be found ,no grass or roots much less flowers.A dam is build in place. Much construction activity can still be seen.

Thus just like that,a masterpiece of god is being destroyed.

Slow and steady...

Spotted a snail on the way home...

The reason why i took a picture of this is because it kind of "inspired "me a little. In what way, you ask? Never look down on those that are lagging behind you.Look up.Because you never know that one day ,they might catch up on you. Or worst, bypass you.

There are people that maybe slow but,you can see that a lot of effort is put in to achieve it. Though they may not be fast, but quality work is produced at the end of the day.

Carpe diem.

Pine apple fried rice:P

A Sweet and sour dish:p
A blend of fruits(pineapple and surprisingly raisins?), with some slice chicken and chopped spring onion ,topped up with some chicken floss. Awesome!!
My first impression was like"why is it so yellowish in colour? " so i thought that maybe it might be another oily dish but nope!
Slowly the delightful smell starts to reach my nose. you can actually smell the sweetness coming from the sliced pineapple.originally, pineapples are really sour and i hated them but sweetness just from the smell tingled my senses.Without a second thought, the hungry me  took my first bite."mmmhh!!:3
you can actually taste the harmony and balanced of the ingredients in your mouth. Not too sweet nor sour, the rice isn't fried too dry ,just right. The spring onion gives off a little fresh "sqeesh"(if you know what i mean:O) Basically ,its a dish that makes you finish it till nothing is left in the plate( which I did:D)

Highly recommended if you ask me:)

It's located just a road away from school,a Thai restaurant( I don't remember the name:p)
I never knew  such good food can be found so near the school.
